ABOUT US

The Arkansas Self-Insurance Trust (ASIT) is an association of nursing homes in Arkansas formed in August 1992 to self-insure for workers compensation. 

ASIT is governed by Rule 5 of the Arkansas Workers Compensation Commission (AWCC) and authorized by Arkansas Code Ann.11-9-404 and the AWCC Self-Insurance Program

PROGRAM FEATURES

o       Professional administration provided by Midwest Risk Management Services, Inc.

o       Aggressive claim management provided by Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. (CCMSI)

o       Safety and Loss control program provided by Mike Johnson & Associates

o       Post accident drug testing required and is provided by Employee Screening Management (ESM)

o       Safety Incentive Program

o       Annual payroll audits

o       Assessment protection that is exclusive to ASIT

o       Actuarial evaluation

o       Profits returned to members as dividends.  Over $16 million has been paid to its members since 1992.

o       Managed by a Board of Directors that is comprised of ASIT members.

o       Excess carrier rated A+ XV by A.M. Best
